The 2023 online shopping return rate in the United States reached 17.6%
According to a new report by the American Retail Federation NRF and Apparis Retail, for every $1 billion in sales, retailers generate an average of $145 million in product returns. The return rate for online sales is relatively high, with a return rate of 17.6% for products purchased online, which is $247 billion.
